Who I Help

Teens & College-Aged Young Adults

I help neurodivergent teens and college-aged young adults, with a strong focus on those who are homeschooled or have followed nontraditional educational paths.

I often work with individuals who:

  • Are older teens or college students navigating academic pressure, burnout, or transitions

  • Are homeschooled or self-directed learners managing motivation, structure, or executive functioning

  • Have struggled in traditional school systems and are seeking support that fits how they learn

  • Feel capable and intelligent but overwhelmed by expectations

  • Are navigating identity, independence, and early adulthood with a neurodivergent brain

Therapy focuses on helping the individual client understand how their brain works, build self-trust, and develop tools that fit their real life.

This Therapy Is a Good Fit If You…

This work may be a strong fit if you (or your child):

Are a teen or college-aged young adult who is ADHD, autistic, dyslexic, or otherwise neurodivergent

  1. Are homeschooled, self-directed, or have a nontraditional educational background

  2. Struggle with executive functioning (planning, organization, follow-through)

  3. Feel overwhelmed, anxious, burned out, or stuck despite being capable

  4. Experience emotional intensity, shutdowns, or cycles of over-functioning and collapse

  5. Want individual therapy that understands neurodivergence as difference, not deficit

Therapy is collaborative, strengths-based, and neurodiversity-affirming—not compliance-driven or behavior-focused.

Who This Work Is For (Ages & Fit)

I primarily work with older teens and college-aged young adults, particularly those navigating homeschooling, alternative education, or the transition into adulthood.

I also work with younger children on a case-by-case basis, depending on fit and needs.

When This Is Not the Right Fit

I may not be the right fit if you are:

  • Seeking family therapy or parent coaching as the primary service

  • Looking for formal neuropsychological testing or diagnostic evaluations

  • Wanting highly structured, manualized, or skills-only therapy

  • Needing intensive crisis intervention, inpatient, or emergency care

  • Seeking medication management

  • Outside the State of Florida, due to licensure restrictions

My Approach to Therapy

My work with teens and young adults is individual, relational, strengths-based, and nervous-system informed.

Therapy may include:

  • Understanding how your brain processes emotion, attention, and stress

  • Building executive functioning strategies that support self-directed learning

  • Supporting emotional regulation and self-confidence

  • Navigating transitions (homeschool → college, college → independence)

  • Exploring identity, autonomy, boundaries, and self-trust

When appropriate, limited parent involvement may occur to support the client’s goals, but therapy remains individual and client-centered.
